CIRCA 1725, GILDER'S VII TO ALL PIECES, DREHER'S .. TO TEABOWLS AND X TO SAUCERS
Each teabowl with two oval panels painted with boats and ships, one with three figures on a shore in the foreground, within elaborate ribbon-tied gilt ombrierte cartouches, divided by indianische Blumen suspended from the rims, the interiors with gilt circles enclosing iron-red indianische Blumen, below gilt trellis borders reserved with elongated oval white panels, the saucers each with scenes of figures on shores before ships, one with three merchants conversing with a friar, the other with a fortifications above cliffs, within similar gilt cartouches and borders, the undersides with three concentric iron-red circles (some chipping to footrim of one saucer, slight wear to gilt rims and wells) (2)
