A MEISSEN FIGURE OF A BAKER FROM THE CRIS DE PARIS SERIES
CIRCA 1755, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK AT BACK
Modelled by J.J. Kändler and P. Reinicke, in a lilac-lined yellow cap, pink jacket, flowered yellow waistcoat with gilt frogging, iron-red striped sash, lilac trousers and black shoes, standing holding a paddle over his right shoulder, before a tree-stump on a scroll-moulded mound base applied with flowers and foliage and enriched with gilding (restoration to left cuff and paddle, two minute chips to edge of jacket, slight chips to leaves)
