The rounded cylindrical bowl engraved with the crowned coat of arms of the Seven Provinces: Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Vriesland, Overijssel, Groeningen and Gelderland below a continuous meandering band of flowers and leaves, supported on a stem formed from two ribbed hollow knops, each on a bladed knop, above a folded conical foot engraved with a continuous band of flowers and leaves
7¾ in. (19.6 cm.) high

See Pieter C. Ritsema van Eck, Glass in the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam, 1995), Vol. II, p. 79, no. 53 for a Provinces wine glass engraved by a hand close to the present example, the author attributes the engraving to the Northern Netherlands.
