A HÖCHST CHINOISERIE TEACUP AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1760-65, IRON-RED WHEEL MARKS, INCISED ,N TO TEACUP, IMPRESSED DOT MARKS TO SAUCER
Probably painted by Andreas Philipp Oettner, the teacup with a seated figure reading and wearing a striped tunic, red trousers and a gilt hat, the saucer with a standing figure wearing iron-red conical hat and a long red robe, each supported on a puce and gilt scroll half-cartouches within gilt line rims (saucer with minute frit to rim and slight chipping to footrim, areas of wear to enamels, cup with wear to gilt rim)
