A GERA PIERCED RECTANGULAR BASKET OF GAMING COUNTERS
CIRCA 1780, UNDERGLAZE BLUE G. MARK TO BASE OF BASKET
The basket painted with two beetles to the interior, the exterior strapwork edged in puce, the top edged in gilding, divided into two compartments, containing counters with shaped gilt line rims, comprising:

Twelve shaped-rectangular counters painted with beetles
Eight similar, with coloured insects
Four shaped-square counters with beetles
One similar, with a coloured insect
Three circular counters with beetles
Three similar with coloured insects
(some wear to gilt rims throughout, one circular insect counter with rim chip)
The basket 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) wide (32)
