A MEISSEN (MARCOLINI) BLUE-GROUND CYLINDRICAL PORTRAIT CUP AND SAUCER

The cup with a gilt-edged channelled angular handle, painted and stippled en grisaille with a half-length portrait of Leopold II wearing an embroidered cape and the Order of the Golden Fleece, within a gilt oval laurel leaf cartouche, the saucer with the initial L among clouds within a similar cartouche, gilt ovolo borders (cup with slight wear to upper rim and shallow minor glaze chip to underside)
