CIRCA 1830, ATTRIBUTED TO TRIER, THE CUP INSCRIBED Walrand ...(?) P IN PUCE, INCISED C TO BASE
Of waisted cylindrical form with a scroll handle, the front painted by Johann Baptist Warland with a view of the Portra Nigra, within a gilt oval tooled band inscribed Roemer Thor zu Trier., the reverse with a band of up-turned stiff-leaves below a border of gilt tooled scrolling stems with flowerheads, the interior with a broad gilt band, the saucer with a similar border (slight rubbing to gilding)
