FIRST EDITION, FRENCH ISSUE, PRESENTATION COPY inscribed by Cartier-Bresson to Djan Seylan: "à Djan avec l'amitié d'Henri." "The Decisive Moment is one of the greatest of all photobooks, and Cartier-Bresson repeated its artistic success three years later with The Europeans" (The Photobook). This French issue, unlike the American co-edition, was issued with the captions bound-in and without a dust-jacket. The Photobook, vol. I, p.209; Regards à travers le livre 107.
