The carved and pierced foliate cresting centred by an octagonal cushion panel above an oversailing eared and moulded cornice, above a pair of doors each with two rectangular panels with ripple-mouldings, foliage and further octaganal cushion panel, flanked and divided by spirally-turned columns headed by acanthus carved capitals, enclosing a plain interior and with engraved iron hinges and lock, on a conforming plinth base with bracket feet, with brass plaque stamped F 2130

A comparable cupboard using the smae distinctive burr veneers and spirally turned columns was in the Baden Baden sale, Sotheby's Germany, 5 october, 1995 (138,000DM). The Baden Baden cupboard was originally from the Markgräflich Badischen Hofgebäude in Basel.
