Each molded in bassorilievo with a mythological scene emblematic of the Seasons, Spring with Bacchantes and putti stringing garlands, an amorous Juno and Jupiter looking on from above, while Vulcan lays his hammer to one side to be greated by a favorite hound; Winter depicting Vulcan and assistants forging armor as Venus and Mars descend from a swan drawn chariot, a chained hound strains at his lead and putti quarrel

The 'Quattro Stagioni' commissioned for Ferdinando de' Medici, was originally conceived by Soldani in bronze circa 1708. Two Doccia porcelain reliefs from this series, circa 1770 are preserved at the Museo di Palazzo Venezia, Roma; the original wax models are retained by the Museo dello Porcellane di Doccia, Sesto Fiorentino
