The rectangular top with three-quarter gallery, above a breakfront guilloche frieze, over a central panelled fall-front hung with ribbon-tied floral garlands, opening to a single shelf and four short drawers, the angles headed by urns en flambeaux, over a frieze drawer centred by a pair of winged putti, on tapering fluted legs joined by a shaped undertier, the lock-plate signed P. Sormani/9 Rue Charlot Paris
