Finely painted after Raphael, identified in Italian on the reverse, the Madonna and Christ Child attended by Saint Sixtus in gilt enriched papal garb and Saint Barbara above two winged genii, the figures rest on a bed of clouds, before a host of angels, framed by heavy curtains
11½ x 9¼ in. (29 x 23.4 cm.), within a giltwood frame
