TWO ORMOLU-MOUNTED SEVRES STYLE GREEN-GROUND BOXES AND COVERS
LATE 19TH/20TH CENTURY
The first of rectangular form, the top, front and back painted in the manner of Boucher with amorous couples, the sides with bouquets, all within gilt foliate scroll surrounds, the corners cast with winged putti-herm figures playing pipes, on a canted rectangular base; the second or architectural form set with seven plaques of putti at various pursuits, the ormolu etched with flowering vine and scrolls
