Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1958 and its subsequent sale on August 12th of the following year. The extract further confirms that the watch left the factory with diamond indexes and the platinum bracelet.
According to our research the present watch has never before appeared at auction.
Patek Philippe produced the reference 1593 from circa 1944 to 1967. The elegant look of the case stands as a milestone in the history of wristwatch design. The caliber 9-90 was used by the firm from the 1930s until the late 1960s and is included in many of their finest rectangular wristwatches. Patek Philippe made this model in yellow, white and pink gold, with the platinum version with diamond dial amongst the rarest. The addition of the bracelet makes this a true collector's find.
