Comprising two armchairs and six side chairs, each with a serpentine toprail carved with foliage, above a pierced baluster-shaped splat, above a padded dished seat covered in close-nailed black leather, on square legs joined by square stretchers, one armchair inscribed to the underside in black ink 'RR 1969', and in chalk HALFORD', each side chair stamped to the front seat rail 'JHP', one side chair with a label inscribed in ink 'No 310 6 side chairs 2 armchairs Chip. circa 1750 $1500 Def. 8'
