The rectangular foliate engraved case with rectangular glazed side panels, door to the reverse with two bells, repoussé dial plate with white enamel dial signed VONDERHEID.RENOVATUM.A.WIEN., Schl=Nicht/Schlagt regulation above, repeating via side button next to 8, short duration twin barrel chain fusee movement with balance spring verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock inset with a ruby, the backplate with champlevé alarm disc inscribed Spath/Früh, striking the hours with two hammers on one bell, the alarm striking with one hammer on the second bell, signed on the backplate Heinrich Schmidtbauer/Bamberg, with leather travelling case; winding key
