A LARGE GROUP OF MAINLY ROMAN BRONZE FIBULAE
1ST-4TH CENTURY A.D. AND LATER
Including a fibula in the form of a hound chasing a hare, another in the form of a bird; a gilded bronze mount of umbonate type, with central boss and surrounding sunburst pattern; four 'knee' fibulae, one of tinned bronze, another of double form; four crossbow fibulae with knobbed terminals; another of unusual crossbow form with thin D-shaped bow with ridged section at base between flanges for coiled wire decoration (now missing), all mainly 2nd-4th Century A.D.; four fibulae of Aucissa type, the hinged arched bow with longitudinal ribbing; two fibulae of similar Hod Hill type, all 1st Century A.D.; and three fibulae of 'Kräftig Profilierte' Pannonian type, with coiled spring and forward chord hook, the bow with lateral mouldings and deep catch-plate, 1st-early 2nd Century A.D., some with pins missing(a lot)
