The domed circular stone with a gryllos in the form of an elaborate hybrid bird-animal, a Pahlavi inscription in cursive script at one side reading "Fortune", in gold ring setting
¾ in. (2 cm.) across inner hoop
Provenance
Private collection, acquired in the late 1970s.
