A GRAECO-ROMAN BRONZE FIGURE OF A SLAVE WITH A WINESKIN
CIRCA 1ST CENTURY B.C./A.D.
The nude figure striding forward, his left hand supporting a large wineskin slung over his shoulder, wearing a chest strap with attached gourd, with right hand raised, his hair pulled back and tied in a top-knot, mounted; and an Etruscan bronze stylized figure of Hercules, with right arm raised, remains of a pelt over left arm, mounted, probably circa 3rd Century B.C.
3½ in. (8.8 cm.) and 3¼ in. (8.2 cm.) high respectively (2)

French private collection formed between 1930-1960, and thence by descent to the present owner.
