A CARVED WOOD WRITING BOX, MYSORE, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form, on four lobed squat feet, carved to lid with two parakeets either side of a chrysanthemum with ivory finial, the sides with medallions featuring parakeets, all on a ground of dense floral design, the interior insert with seven cavities with wood lids and ivory finials - 17 1/8 x 6 5/8in (43.6 x 17.2cm)
