FIRST EDITION. Published by subscription, Long's book was a graphic record of Indian life and of conditions in the fur trade, where the Montreal traders fought both among themselves and with the Hudson's Bay Company. It included an extensive vocabulary of the Chippeway language, and a comparison between Chippeway and Algonkin. Howes L-443; Sabin 41878.
