2 parts in one, 2° (250 x 166mm). Text with commentary surround, c+3 missigned c+4. Separate title, foliation and quiring for each part. Four printer's devices, one on title and final verso of each part, woodcut ornamental and historiated initials. (Lightly browned, light stain in 3 leaves.) 18th-century sprinkled calf panelled in gilt with corner fleurons, gilt spine, red speckled edges (lightly rubbed, neat restorations at spine, corner bumped). Provenance: ?Josephus Vaghinus (16-17th-century inscription at end) -- a few contemporary annotations in Greek -- J. Hewett, 1760 (flyleaf inscription) -- Francis Ferrand Foljambe (stamp).

First edition edited by Micyllus and Camerarius, improving the text from Hervagius' 1535 edition. Adams H-750; Hoffmann II: 316.
