The jug second half 17th Century, the mounts apparently unmarked, Holland, 17th Century
(Avondsmaal- or so called Vermeerkan) The huge ovoid body with a tapering neck, with a tiny spout and loop handle, the slightly domed cover connected with a shell-shaped thumb piece to the partly mounted handle, the inside to the cover inscribed Kerck tot Alem (church of Alem) (cracked due to frost problems)
