Lot Essay

We are grateful to Fred Meijer of the RKD, The Hague, for confirming the attribution on inspection of the original. He has noted that the composition in part repeats a signed work by van der Mijn (formerly with Leger Galleries, London, in 1927), and another signed work in the Dutch National Collection, concluding that all three paintings must be fairly early works by the artist.
