A SET OF TWELVE MAHOGANY DINING-CHAIRS
EIGHT CHAIRS GEORGE III CIRCA 1790, FOUR SIDE CHAIRS OF A LATER DATE
Comprising two open armchairs and ten side chairs, each with a shield- form back with three fluted tapering stiles issuing from a partial flower, the center stile issues three feathers, with a green and cream silk seat cover patterned with fruiting and flowering bowls, on reeded, tapering legs, slight variations in size, the armchairs the same scale as the side chairs and the arms apparently original (12)

Bought from Michael Foster, London in 1989 (the eight Georgian chairs).
