Signed Rolex, Anti-Magnetic, retailed by Bucherer, ref. 2508, case no. 41'336, manufactured in 1940
With nickel-finished jewelled lever movement, the black matte dial with gilt Arabic and baton numerals, baton hands, outer gilt five minute divisions, two subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds and 30 minutes register, in large circular case with flat bezel, downturned lugs, snap on back, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker and retailer

Lot Essay

Reference 2508 was introduced into the market in the mid 1930s. The first generation featured oval chronograph buttons whereas the second series, such as the present watch, were fitted with rectangular pushers.
