Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with pink dial and applied pink gold hour markers in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 27 November 1942.

The present watch is an attractive example of the successful and sought-after reference 565, standing out through its strong pink coloured dial. The retailer's signature Freccero above the subsidiary seconds dial enhances the uniqueness of this fine watch.

Reference 565 was available with either subsidiary or sweep centre seconds: the first with calibre 12'''120, such as the present watch, was launched in 1938. Production of the second series featuring a calibre 12 SC movement started in 1942.
