Of bombé rectangular form, painted with vignettes of elegant figures at the quayside or with travelers in landscapes with towns and mountains in the background, each with drapery or foliate scrolls, the interior of the cover with a similar scene of merchants in discussion before a palazzo on the shores of a busy harbor, a ship at the left, the interior of the box gilt

These scenes are possibly after engravings by Johann Wilhelm Baur (1607-1642).
