1730-1735, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK AND PAINTER'S Y
Painted in the Imari palette with a central sprig of peony enriched in gilt and surrounded by five smaller flower sprays, the border with alternating lappet panels of either a single chrysanthemum or a stylized lotus flower on a blue ground, the tightly scalloped rim with a band of gilt Vitruvian scrolls, the underside with two grassy flowering plants alternating with prunus branches
