The rectangular guilloché-carved back with acorn finials, the back and seat and arms covered in close-nailed Aubusson tapestry depicting playing children and a leopard being chased by a dog and a fox, the downswept leaf-tip and foliate-carved arms with scroll terminals, above a guilloché and leaf-tip-cast seatrail, on spiral-twist legs, the tapestry covers probably original, with red painted museum acquisition number to the back '70.60.1' and with typed paper label 'Temporary Loan The Brooklyn Museum From: Mitchell Gift Date: 5/14/70
