AN ITALIAN GILTWOOD CONSOLE
MID-18TH CENTURY
Of serpentine form with a veined grey marble top with a molded edge, above an assymetrically carved shell-form to the center of the frieze framed by scrolling foliage, raised on shell-carved cabriole legs, which are joined by four similarly carved stretchers and support a large shell above a pierced oval to the center, top probably replaced, inscribed 'T886', also inscribed in black 'KOC/JRB/471'
