Georges Jacob, maitre in 1765.
These fauteuils represent the relatively small amount of furniture produced by Georges Jacob in the Louis XV style early in his career. One of a pair of very similar fauteuils is illustrated in P. Kjellberg, Le Mobilier Français du XVIIIe Siècle, Paris, 1989, p. 410.
