A closely related Roman console with a very similar stretcher and legs in a private Bolognese collection is illustrated in S. Colombo, L'Arte del Legno e del Mobile in Italia, Turin, 1981, pl. 421, and another very similar console in the collection of Count Paolo Diamilla Magnelli is illustrated in G. Lizzani, Il Mobile Romano, Milan, 1997, p. 81, pl. 128. A further related console is also in the Palazzo del Quirinale, Rome, and illustrated in A. González-Palacios, Il Patrimonio Artistico del Quirinale: I Mobilé Italiani, Milan, 1996, p. 178, pl. 54.
