FIRST EDITION of Arrhenius' famous dissertation in which he first presented his theory of electrolytic dissociation. In 1903 he was awarded the Nobel Price for chemistry in recognition of the extraordinary services he had rendered to the advancement of chemistry through his electrolytic theory of dissociation.
