FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, with no errata on p.96. 'This small book is one of the greatest of all medical classics and contains the results of Auenbrugger's experience with a new method of physical diagnosis - thoracic percussion' (Heirs of Hippocrates). For a long time the work languished in the shadows and it was only after the second French translation in 1808, by J.N. Corvisart, that the value of percussion was universally recognised.
