Second edition, second issue. Three thousand copies were printed - the largest printing of any edition or issue in Darwin's lifetime - and is the last English edition to contain the whale-bear story. This is the copy of Alexander Goodman More (always known as A.G. More, 1830-1895), eminent naturalist and correspondent with Darwin. Freeman 376.
