KAMERLINGH ONNES, Heike (1853-1926). Communications from the Physical Laboratory of the University of Leiden, nos.122 & 124, Leiden: E. Ijdo, 1911, 2 volumes, 8° (243 x 159mm). 2 folding plates. Original wrappers (some tears). CURIE, Jacques (b.1855). Diagrams in the text (a little browned throughout). Modern boards. The rare doctoral thesis of Pierre Curie's brother in which he announced, with Pierre's help, the discovery of piezoelectricity.
