FIRST 'JESUIT' EDITION although the work was undertaken by two Minims. Valued for its extensive commentary, this edition also contains Traité sur le flux et reflux de la mer by Daniel Bernoully, Colin Maclaurin's De causa physica fluxus et refluxus maris and Euler's Inquisitio physica in causam fluxus et refluxus, three important works on the tides and gravity and all that was written (of importance) between Newton and Laplace.
