RUTHERFORD, Ernest (1871-1937). Radio-activity. Cambridge: University Press, 1904. 8° (206 x 138mm). (Edges rather browned). Original cloth gilt (a few light stains). Provenance: W. Wilson, 1906 (pencilled signature on an endpaper). FIRST EDITION of Rutherford's magisterial work on radio-activity, destined to become the major textbook on the subject and which won him the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1908. Norman 1870.
