FIRST EDITION of a series of lectures given by Young in 1802-03 and revised for publication in 1807. 'These lectures often contained the results of Young's latest researches, particularly those performed in connection with his wave theory of light, which he had first announced in 1802 ... Volume II contains an extensive bibliographical apparatus, with a long index and an annotated checklist of about 20,000 references', Norman 2277. (2)
