An interesting manuscript giving the bugle calls, each with musical notation, for 113 military commands from Quick March to Officer's first and second dinner calls. The Ceylon Rifle Regiment (CRR) was a regular native regiment formed by the British in Ceylon. Its history goes back to 1795 when five independent companies of Malays were transferred from Dutch to East India Company service. The regiment saw service in the Kandyan War and in the Uva rebellion in 1818 and the Matale rebellion in 1848. It was disbanded in 1873.
