MARK OF J.A. CRESSEND, PARIS, FIRST STANDARD, 1809-1819
Of plain baluster form on three hoof supports, turned ebonised wood handle set at right angle to fluted spout terminating in a pine cone, anthemion rim and scroll thumbpiece
12¼ in. (31cm.) high;
Together with a French silver sauceboat and stand, mark of Jean Charles Cahier, Paris, First Standard, 1809-19, the pedestal foot chased with laurel leaves, handle terminating in a lion's head, on navette-shaped stand (stand not illustrated)
