Woven in wools and silks, depicting soldiers kneeling in front of a seated king, within a floral border, centred to top and bottom with flower-filled vases and within a beige and blue outer slip, some losses

Provenance
Probably acquired by Julius Drewe, the founder of Home and Colonial Stores and builder of Castle Drogo in Devon, when he purchased Wadhurst, Sussex and it's contents in 1898; and thence by descent.
