Members of the Anti-Gallican Society, formed in London in 1745, sent a number of orders to China, primarily for punchbowls, but also for mugs and services. According to D.S. Howard, China for the West, vol. I, p. 243, nr. 239, the Society was re-formed in 1757, inspiring the production of further porcelain with its arms.
