A gold and silver-inlaid bronze 'phoenix head' vessel and an archaistic bronze Li Gui
The first Song dynasty, the second Ming dynasty
The oval globular body cast at the short ends with phoenix heads, the
sides decorated in relief and inlaid in gold and silver with the birds wings, feathers and scrollwork, supported on four short feet, the
associated cover with a fretwork border and surmounted by an amethyst
finial, the cover 19th Century; and a tripod silver and gold inlaid
bronze vessel Li Gui, the tripod feet rising towards a trefoil
lobed body and wide flaring neck, inlaid with a pattern of archaistic
scrollwork, one side with loop handle applied with lion-mask, 5.7 cm.
