An archaistic jade vase
Qing dynasty
Of flattened baluster form surmounted on a narrow domed foot, the body carved around the sides with a band centred by a taotie mask between scrolls, applied to the waisted neck with scroll handles, the greyish white stone mottled and striated throughout with dark brown and russet inclusions
