The black lacquer flower-spray decorated case of waisted outline, stepped hood with pierced foliate finial and giltwood shaped door openworked with trelliswork and a vase of flowers, on scrolling legs, the white enamel dial signed J.D. Burka, Frankfort, the four pillar movement with verge escapement, silk-suspended pendulum and rack strike to the backplate, striking on two bells, front and backplate altered or from another clock as there are numerous open holes
