Two antique pocket watches
Comprising a Swiss gold open face watch, the key wind dumb quarter repeat converted lever movement with fusee, three arm balance wheel, pierced balance cock, two striking hammers and advance and retard dial signed L'Aine Ferroux, A Geneve, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, the interior case with the inscription C.I. Kemeys Tynte M.P. From His Sisters Anne, Louisa and Henrietta, In Rememberance of Their Aunt A.C.K. Tynte, the case reverse with engraved coronet, circa 1800; and an 18th century silver pair case pocket clock watch, the verge escapement with fusee, single striking hammer and pierced balance cock, signed Daniel Le Count, London, the inner case engraved with lion mask and pierced and engraved with birds and foliage, the outer case engraved with stylised faces and baskets of flowers, movement damaged, in need of repair

Charles Kemeys Kemeys-Tynte was born on 29 May 1778 and was M.P. for Bridgewater 1820-37 and colonel of the West Somerset Yeomanry. He married Anne Leyson daughter of the Reverend T. Leyson vicar of Bassaleg. He died on 22nd November 1860.
