A late 19th century royal presentation gold, enamel and diamond brooch
Presented by Queen Victoria, the oval panel with applied VIR monogram with crown surmount and rose-cut diamodn accents against a red guilloché enamel field, the white enamel border with rose-cut diamond detail, the reverse engraved E J from The Queen 22. June 1897, in case by R & S Garrard & Co.

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 15% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.

The Vendor states that the brooch was probably given by Queen Victoria to John Michie who worked on the Balmoral Estate, thence by descent
