A Spanish gilt-metal-mounted ivory, walnut and parcel-gilt varqueno
17th Century
The rectangular top above a fall flap with various red velvet-lined panels mounted with pierced arabesques, enclosing a fitted interior with two doors and twenty-two drawers, the architectural facades with disengaged columns, the stand with two panelled drawers and two panelled cupboard doors, each with a lozenge centred by an oval surrounding the stylized vase-shaped lockplate, carrying handles to the sides
